Wrapped with a seamless Nicaraguan Corojo wrapper to give the cigar that extra power. Filler is a well-aged Nicaragua (Condega) that gives notes of wood and coca. Esteban Carreras Taken From The Devil’s Hand Toro (6″ x 50) Box of 20
Gonzalo Puentes, who heads Esteban Carreras’ cigar factory had worked in Cuba’s main Government tobacco production department about 10 years ago. Puentes and his colleagues were entrusted with improving and developing corojo seeds, so they selected the best and strongest plants; for example, start with 100 plants, extract the seeds from the best five, and plant those seeds. Instead of giving the government the best seeds, they were smuggled out of Cuba with Gonzalo Puentes. Gonzalo Puentes stole from Fidel Castro and his administration which meant death if caught. Fortunately nobody got caught and we get to enjoy these gems today.
