The Quattro brand from Rafael Nodal has been a stunner since its dominance as Cigar Aficionado’s highest non-Cuban rated mix in 2013 to the present day. So it’s safe to say we were overjoyed when we learned Nodal was collaborating with the creators of Romeo y Julieta and Montecristo to create a Nicaraguan puro extension to the mix. Welcome to Nicaragua’s Aging Room Quattro.
A “puro” cigar, for those who don’t know, is one that uses tobacco from the same nation as the rest of the cigar. So, everything about this Nicaraguan puro is Nica: wrapper, binder, and long-fillers. The end result is precisely what you’d expect: a medium-to-full-bodied flavor explosion brimming with peppery, spicy, and rich crisp tastes. The original Quattro F55 was a fantastic cigar, but this one may be the best yet from the Aging Room.
Aging Room Quattro Nicaraguan achieved a 96-rating and was previously named #1 Cigar of the Year. It was ranked #14 in 2021, with a 93-rating, and included the following information: “There are a variety of Aging Rooms created in various factories, but this is the blend that delivers the best results: a symphonic suite of flavors ranging from espresso and chocolate to pecan and caramel. For a long encore, a note of star anise reverberates at the end.”
