This one’s a beast. The 60 ring gauge gives it a massive presence in the hand and tons of smoke output. Right from the start, you get thick notes of cocoa and earth with a pepper kick on the retrohale. The sweetness of the wrapper comes in after the first inch, mixing nicely with a dark espresso tone. Construction’s usually flawless, though I recommend pacing yourself—if you push it, it can get hot toward the nub.

This vitola smooths out the strength just a little. It’s still very full-bodied, but there’s more room for the blend to stretch out and develop. The flavors transition more clearly — earth and cedar early on, some caramel sweetness in the middle, and leather and spice building toward the end. This might be the most “complete” version of the blend if you want balance and boldness at the same time.

My Father Judge Toro Fino (6 x 52)

Slightly slimmer than the standard Toro, the Toro Fino delivers more concentrated flavor. This size brings out a little more sharpness — the pepper has a cleaner edge, and the sweetness of the wrapper seems more noticeable earlier. I also found it burned a touch quicker. If you’re after that spice hit without a giant ring gauge, this is a solid option.

My Father Judge Corona Gorda (5 5/8 x 46)

This is easily my favorite size of the line. The narrower ring gauge really focuses the flavors — especially the cocoa, leather, and that natural sweetness from the wrapper. It’s also a more manageable smoke time-wise. The pepper is still there, but it doesn’t overpower. I’d say this is the best option if you want the core experience of The Judge without the time or power commitment of the bigger formats.
