Sarzedas Cigars by JC Newman
Sarzedas feels like a brand you rediscover—like an old label tucked in the back of a cedar drawer, somehow still sharp around the edges. It actually has the history to back that up: J.C. Newman first rolled Sarzedas in 1900, and for years it carried the nickname “The Aromatic Cigar.”
This modern return keeps that same spirit. Not perfumy. Not candy-sweet. Just a cigar that smells good in the room and stays easy to live with. The blend starts with a silky Ecuadorian Shade wrapper, then leans on Dominican and Nicaraguan binder and filler for warmth, balance, and steady flavor. Made by hand at J.C. Newman’s PENSA factory in Estelí, Nicaragua, with blending led by Rich Dolak.
If you like cigars that don’t shout, but still have something to say—this is your lane. Newman calls it “fun” and “flavorful,” and that’s honestly the right vibe.
