Made in honor of America’s 250th birthday, this special Angel Cuesta release carries real Tampa cigar history. The Angel Cuesta name goes back to Angel LaMadrid Cuesta, one of the founders of the legendary Cuesta-Rey brand. These cigars were once known as the official cigar of King Alfonso XIII of Spain. A little royal history. A lot of old-world charm.
But the cigar itself is not loud. It is refined. Smooth. Patiently made.
Each Angel Cuesta 250th Anniversary Toro is handmade by J.C. Newman Cigar Co. at the historic El Reloj cigar factory in Tampa, Florida. Only two cigar rollers at the factory are trusted to roll Angel Cuesta, and together they make no more than 175 cigars a day. That is what makes this cigar feel different. No rushed production. No assembly-line feel. Just skilled hands, aged tobacco, and a cigar built with care.
This 6″ x 52 Toro wears a beautiful Ecuador Havana Rosado wrapper and is finished with a classic pigtail cap. Inside, aged binder and filler tobaccos from three continents create a smooth, balanced profile with notes of cedar, cream, toasted tobacco, gentle spice, and natural sweetness.
