“Ultra Rare”
The Arturo Fuente Rare Pink Short Story is a four-inch perfecto from the Vintage 1960’s Series. One of the original Rare Pink formats. Its standard factory box contains 25 cigars.
Small foot. Fuller middle. The diameter changes along the cigar, which is why Fuente lists the ring gauge as 42/49. Those two numbers describe a single shaped format.
Made in the Dominican Republic, the Short Story uses an Ecuadorian wrapper over a Dominican binder and Dominican and Nicaraguan filler. Its pink bands and illustrated box follow the presentation used throughout the Rare Pink collection.
Every box sold donates $13 to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation, and that bold pink packaging screams the mission. Released in 2020, they’re super limited, so buy now if they’re in stock.
They come out once a year and are extremely highly collectable.

Arturo Fuente Rare Pink Short Story Description
Four inches long, with a shape that changes from one end to the other. The Short Story begins at a narrow foot, widens through the body, and finishes at a rounded head. A compact perfecto.
The 42/49 measurement reflects that changing diameter. It is one size, with narrower and broader sections. Fuente uses both figures in its specifications to describe the format.
Short Story was included in the original Rare Pink collection. It also shares its name with a format in Fuente’s Hemingway line. For Rare Pink, the published blend consists of an Ecuadorian wrapper, a Dominican binder, and filler from the Dominican Republic and Nicaragua.
Manufacturing takes place in the Dominican Republic. The standard box holds 25 cigars and uses the line’s pink presentation, with gold accents on the bands and an illustrated lid. The Short Story name identifies this particular four-inch format within the collection.
