The Asylum 13 80 x 8 blend is built with Nicaraguan tobaccos and delivers a rich, medium-to-full-bodied profile. Black pepper gets things started. Earth and toasted tobacco follow. Give it some time and darker flavors begin showing up—espresso, leather, cocoa, wood, and a mild sweetness that helps round everything out.
Despite the size, the smoke can remain surprisingly cool. The wide ring gauge gives the tobacco room to burn slowly, allowing the flavors to develop without rushing. Still, this is no lightweight. There is plenty of body. Plenty of smoke. Plenty of cigar.
