This cigar doesn’t play by the rules. The Shade to Black starts off mellow, thanks to its Connecticut Shade wrapper, but there’s more under the hood. As it burns, flavors deepen—think toasted cream, light pepper, and a touch of oak. It’s smooth at first, then gets bolder without going overboard.

Created in collaboration with Metallica’s James Hetfield and master blender Jonathan Drew, it’s got attitude, but it’s balanced. Medium-bodied, well-constructed, and slow-burning—this isn’t just a gimmick cigar with a famous name attached. It’s legit.
