The Commodore starts with a dark, hearty Brazilian Arapiraca Maduro wrapper. Underneath is a Nicaraguan binder surrounding a rich selection of Nicaraguan filler tobaccos. Every cigar is handmade at the J.C. Newman PENSA factory in Estelí, Nicaragua.
Once lit, there is no shortage of smoke.
The profile starts with earth, black pepper and toasted tobacco, followed by darker notes of cocoa and roasted nuts. As the cigar settles in, the Arapiraca wrapper brings in a touch of natural sweetness that balances out the spice and heavier Nicaraguan character.
Rich? Definitely.
