Buffalo Trace Special Selection – Special Lancero

A traditional sized Lancero sized cigar which is usually only giving to the best cigar rollers at the factroy to hand make since it’s very difficult to get perfect. The smaller ring gauge changes the whole feel—less about depth, more about clarity. Right from the start, the Sumatra wrapper takes the lead. Cedar is sharper, the sweetness is lighter but more noticeable, and the spice has a bit more edge.

The Brazilian binder plays a quieter role here, but it matters. Adds just enough cocoa and warmth to keep things from feeling thin. Midway through, you might pick up a slightly earthy note, maybe even a dry, toasted finish that lingers for a second before fading.
Burn time is shorter, sure—but it feels intentional. Good draw, quick but even burn, and a clean finish that doesn’t stick around too long. It’s a focused smoke. Something you reach for when you want flavor without the long commitment.
