A lost art of a special fermentation process called “chincagre” is used with these new CAO Arcana Firewalker cigars. “Chincagre” is burying tobacco in volcanic soil for at least two months. Burry the tobacco in the fertile volcanic soil helps to lock in all the deep flavors and spices in the tobacco leaves from lack of oxygen. For added measure the tobacco undergoes a second fermentation process at the cigar factory for an additional nine months.
