The Joya de Nicaragua Antaño CT Toro (6″ x 50) doesn’t smoke like the typical Connecticut. Too much Nicaraguan character for that.

The Joya de Nicaragua Antaño CT Toro (6″ x 50) looks calm enough. Light Connecticut wrapper. Clean presentation. Familiar Toro shape.
Then you light it.
Cream comes first, soft and easy, joined by cedar and a dry toasted-nut character. Pretty relaxed opening. But underneath it, the Nicaraguan tobacco is already working. Pepper begins to creep forward. Earth gets a little deeper. The smoke gains weight without suddenly turning aggressive.
That contrast is what makes the Antaño CT interesting.
