The Oliva Connecticut Reserve Robusto starts easy. First flame, soft glow at the foot. A clean ribbon of smoke comes up, calm and steady. Nothing loud. Nothing rushing.
The flavor opens little by little. Earth first. Then toast. A small touch of spice sitting on the edge. Each draw feels smooth, almost silky, with just enough flavor left behind to keep you coming back for another pull.
Around the middle, the cigar settles in nicely. More toasted notes. A little roasted nut. Maybe a light hint of cocoa if you take your time with it.
