The 1964 was so good when it first came out, that it was the first non-Cuban cigar to be counterfeited. Padron had to make special double bands with individualized numbers so that the consumer knew he had the real cigar, not some imitation. The PADRON 1964 ANNIVERSARY SERIES is limited and exclusive and only one to two thousand boxes are manufactured per year. The 1964 is distributed to only a small minority of cigar shops.
