The Padron Black PB 99 Maduro Gordo (6.75″ x 60) Box of 10 is one of those cigars you light up and just know you’re in for a treat. It’s made with top-notch, aged Nicaraguan tobaccos, and it’s got that perfect balance of bold and smooth.
The dark, oily Maduro wrapper makes it look great, and the draw is super smooth with a nice even burn. From the first puff, you’ll get this awesome mix of espresso, dark chocolate, and a little earthy spice, with just a hint of sweetness to round it all out. And with that big 6.75″ x 60 size, you’re in for a long, rich smoke.
These cigars are made in small batches, so they’re not easy to come by. If you’re into cigars with a lot of flavor but still smooth, this is one to try. Just a heads up—these sell out fast, so if you see a box, grab it before it’s gone!

“As with many big ring‑gauge maduros, the draw is easier and smoother, this blend is incredible”
Olivia C. (verified owner) –
“Not a volume smoke due to cost and strength. But as a special‑occasions smoke, or for those times you want to reflect and savour, it’s perfect.”
Ryan D. (verified owner) –
“Collector‑level construction. Tight seams, oily Maduro wrapper, minimal vein breakage; draws clean with good resistance.”
Max J. (verified owner) –
“A great cigar for collecting”.
Jordan S. (verified owner) –
“Burn was reasonably uniform, though in one cigar I got a slightly looser draw. Could be storage or batch variance. Overall consistency is still very strong.”
Lucas R. (verified owner) –
“It’s the kind of cigar you want when you have time — no rushing. Complexity builds: Padron signature black pepper, cedar, dark fruit notes. Finish lingers with cocoa and wood. Just incredible. ”
Dylan S. (verified owner) –
“Comparisons to PB‑97: PB‑99 is wider, adds richer oils, depth, but some say loses a little sharpness in spice. More plush, less toothy than smaller PBs.”
Nathan H. (verified owner) –
“Collector’s note: the darker Maduro wrapper tends to be a little more stronger than lighter wrappers.
Caleb R. (verified owner) –
“Final third is where this cigar shines or struggles, depending on how one paces. If you let it rest between draws, the sweetness emerges: molasses, dark sugar, plus residual spice.”
Sean P. (verified owner) –
“For collectors, the PB‑series is interesting because of limited availability. When you get one, you’ve won the lottery.
Leo K. (verified owner) –
“Somewhat harsh in the first third — pepper and wood show aggressively. But this gives way to more refined notes of dried fruit and cocoa.”
Zachary T. (verified owner) –
“It’s not a casual smoke. The full body and strength demand respect. A strong palate, good humidor control, and time to experience all phases.”
Blake W. (verified owner) –
“Ash holds well, compactly. One ash drop after two inches is normal. But still, solid performance on burn‑line.”
Adrian V. (verified owner) –
“One of the most satisfying cigars I’ve had in the Padron Black line. Leather, espresso crema, dark chocolate, subtle citrus‑peel on retro. But zero creamy sweetness until mid‑section.”
Isaiah G. (verified owner) –
“The drawback for some: price. As with many limited Padron Blacks, cost per stick is high. But most agree the quality justifies it—especially when paired with strong drink (whiskey, rum) or dark coffee.”
Tyler M. (verified owner) –
“At this ring gauge the smoke production is massive. One has to smoke slowly to avoid becoming too overwhelmed by heat in later thirds.”
Ethan C. (verified owner) –
“Not subtle. This cigar shows off strength and full flavour right from the foot. Black pepper in the retrohale, then it settles into darker chocolate, leather, and a softened nuttiness halfway.”
Cole L. (verified owner) –
“A smoking time of well over 90 minutes is realistic. If you treat it like a marathon rather than a sprint, the evolution is fantastic.”
Marcus B. (verified owner) –
“First draw is deep cocoa, espresso and tobacco earth. Burns even, ash long. Very gratifying — though demanding of patience given its size and strength.”
