The Partagas Black Label Clasico (5.25″ x 54) Box of 20 is dark, heavy on flavor, and definitely not shy.
A thick Connecticut Havana Seed wrapper surrounds a Dominican La Vega Especial binder with Dominican Piloto Cubano Ligero and Nicaraguan Ligero fillers. That combination gives the Clasico its deep, earthy personality.
Expect plenty of earth, roasted nuts, dark coffee, pepper and bittersweet cocoa. There’s some natural richness from the wrapper, followed by a steady kick of spice as the cigar moves along.
At 5.25″ x 54, it’s a stout smoke. Plenty of tobacco. Plenty of flavor.

The Partagas Black Label Clasico doesn’t exactly ease its way into the room.
Dark wrapper. Thick 54-ring gauge. Ligero in the filler.
You pretty much know where this is going.
Measuring 5.25″ x 54, the Clasico uses a dark and oily Connecticut Havana Seed wrapper over a Dominican La Vega Especial binder. Inside is where things really get interesting—a combination of Dominican Piloto Cubano Ligero and Nicaraguan Ligero tobaccos.
There’s some muscle here.
From the opening draws, expect earth, pepper and deeply toasted tobacco. Give it a little time and darker flavors start moving in. Coffee. Cocoa. Roasted nuts. Maybe a touch of sweetness underneath, but this isn’t trying to be a dessert cigar.
The tobacco stays front and center.
That chunky 54-ring gauge works well with the blend. It produces thick smoke and gives the stronger ligero tobaccos enough room to open up without turning everything into pure pepper.
Rich? Absolutely.
One-dimensional? Not really.
As the Clasico burns, the earth and spice hang around while coffee and darker roasted flavors become more noticeable. There is a rugged edge to it, but enough balance to keep you coming back for another draw.
The Partagas Black Label Clasico Box of 20 is made for smokers who prefer their cigars on the darker, stronger side and aren’t looking for something delicate.
