Rocky Patel Disciple Sixty takes one of the darker blends in the Rocky Patel lineup and gives it plenty of room to work in a thick 6″ x 60 format.
A Mexican San Andrés wrapper surrounds Nicaraguan binder and filler tobaccos, producing a medium-full smoke built around earth, dark wood, pepper and rich tobacco. The big ring gauge doesn’t turn Disciple into a blunt powerhouse either. It spreads the blend out, cools the smoke down and lets the darker flavors develop at a slower pace.
If you like big-ring Rocky Patel cigars but want more depth than sheer strength, the Disciple Sixty is a good one to grab as a single.

Rocky Patel Disciple Sixty (6″ x 60) Cigar does not hide what kind of cigar it wants to be.
Dark wrapper. Big ring gauge. Nicaraguan tobacco underneath. But there is more control here than the appearance might suggest.
Disciple starts with a Mexican San Andrés wrapper wrapped around Nicaraguan binder and filler tobaccos. The cigar is handmade in Nicaragua at Rocky Patel’s TAVICUSA factory and lands comfortably in the medium-full range.
The first part of the smoke tends to lean darker. Earth. Wood. Pepper. Rich tobacco underneath it all. Then the 60 ring gauge starts doing what a large format should do. It slows everything down.
The smoke becomes broader and less concentrated than it would be in the smaller Disciple sizes. Pepper stays involved, but it doesn’t have to dominate every draw. Wood and earth get more room, while the darker character of the San Andrés wrapper remains noticeable throughout the cigar.
There is plenty of smoke production too. No surprise there.
At 6″ x 60, this is a cigar made for somebody who wants to settle in rather than knock out a quick Robusto.
And despite the size, Disciple isn’t just about throwing more filler tobacco into the blend. The wrapper still matters.
That dark Mexican leaf gives the cigar much of its personality, adding depth and a slightly rugged edge against the Nicaraguan core.The result is substantial without becoming sloppy.
Pepper without being all pepper. Strength without turning the whole cigar into a challenge.
The Disciple Sixty makes a lot of sense for Rocky Patel smokers who already enjoy richer Nicaraguan blends and prefer the slower pace of a 60-ring cigar.
