The Rocky Patel Vintage 1999 Perfecto (4″ x 48) Box of 20 is small, smooth, and surprisingly interesting for such a mellow cigar.
Its silky Connecticut Shade wrapper gives the cigar that creamy Vintage 1999 character, while aged Dominican and Nicaraguan tobaccos underneath add enough depth to keep things from getting too light. Expect cream, toasted wood, cedar, nuts and a mild touch of spice.
Then there’s the Perfecto shape.

The Rocky Patel Vintage 1999 Perfecto doesn’t need much time to make its point.
At just 4″ x 48, it’s one of the smallest cigars in the Vintage 1999 lineup. But the tapered Perfecto shape gives it a smoking experience that feels completely different from a standard Petit Corona or Robusto.
The star of the blend is its silky Connecticut Shade wrapper, paired with aged Dominican and Nicaraguan tobaccos underneath. Vintage 1999 was built to be the smoother side of Rocky Patel. Mild, yes. Empty? Not at all.

The opening is creamy with touches of cedar and toasted tobacco. Once the burn reaches the wider section of the Perfecto, the cigar starts producing more smoke and the flavors spread out. Toasted nuts. Light earth. A little sweetness. Maybe some gentle spice hanging around the edges.
