Johnny has been floating around for a decade. Naturally, Room101 Johnny Tobacconaut 10th Anniversary Toro (6″ x 52) was made to celebrate the occasion.
This limited-edition release looks back to the original Johnny Tobacconaut story that began in 2015, but the blend takes a decidedly fuller approach. Room101 worked with AJ Fernandez to create an entirely Nicaraguan puro, using Nicaraguan tobacco for the wrapper, binder, and filler. The result is officially described as full-bodied. No Connecticut softness here. Johnny came back with a little more fuel in the tank.
At 6 inches by 52, the classic Toro format feels right for the blend. Enough size for the Nicaraguan tobacco to settle in and develop. Still manageable when you don’t want to dedicate half the evening to one cigar.
