The Diamond Crown Maximus #6 Double Robusto (5″ x 56) Box of 20 is short, thick, and considerably bolder than the original Diamond Crown line.
The star is an exclusive Ecuadorian El Bajo Sungrown wrapper, grown in mineral-rich soil and selected from the upper primings of the tobacco plant. Underneath are Dominican binder and filler tobaccos, all handmade at the legendary Tabacalera A. Fuente factory in the Dominican Republic.
Right away, there’s some weight to it. Fresh coffee, roasted nuts, dark wood and spice, followed by a touch of natural sweetness as the cigar settles down.
The 56-ring gauge makes a difference. Thick smoke. Slow burn. Plenty of room for that Sungrown wrapper to work against the Dominican tobacco underneath.
Rich without getting sloppy. Strong enough to get your attention. Refined enough to keep it.

Diamond Crown Maximus #6 Product Description
The Diamond Crown Maximus #6 Double Robusto looks like a bruiser.
At 5″ x 56, it’s short and thick. A lot of tobacco packed into a cigar that doesn’t require two hours to finish.
And MAXIMUS isn’t the same animal as the original Diamond Crown.
The cigar is wrapped in an exclusive Ecuadorian El Bajo Sungrown leaf, grown in the El Bajo region of Ecuador. Only the richer tobacco from the upper part of the plant is selected for MAXIMUS, giving the wrapper its darker appearance and deeper flavor.
Underneath?
A Dominican binder and Dominican filler blend, handmade by the skilled rollers at Tabacalera A. Fuente in the Dominican Republic.
Light the #6 and it gets moving pretty quickly.
There’s dark roasted coffee and wood early on, followed by roasted nuts and a firm layer of spice. As the cigar opens up, the smoke gets creamier. A little earth comes through. Some natural sweetness around the edges.
Then back to that roasted character again.
Nothing delicate about it.
But it isn’t wild either.
That’s the trick with MAXIMUS. There’s real strength and richness here, yet the blend stays controlled. The big 56-ring gauge helps with that, producing a thick volume of cooler smoke and letting the Dominican tobaccos soften some of the intensity coming from the Sungrown wrapper.
The shorter 5-inch length also makes the #6 Double Robusto a great choice when you want a substantial cigar but don’t feel like making an entire evening out of it.
