What happens when you take the Beef Stick and make it meaner?

Instead of using the standard Red Meat Lovers blend, Steve Saka fills this version with the bolder Fritanga recipe. More ligero in the mix. More spice. More horsepower.
Connecticut Broadleaf handles the outside. Dark and rich. Underneath is a San Andrés binder surrounding Nicaraguan and U.S. filler tobaccos.
The first few pulls get right to business. Black pepper. Espresso. Dark earth. Charred wood. Cocoa. Then the Broadleaf starts bringing in some sweetness and heavier tobacco flavor. Not enough to tame it completely. Probably wasn’t supposed to.
The 48 ring gauge makes a difference here. Less bulk than the bigger Red Meat Lovers sizes. More concentration. The wrapper stays involved and that extra ligero has nowhere to hide.
