Dunbarton Sobremesa Tapa Negra Toro
The Dunbarton Sobremesa Tapa Negra Toro (6″ x 52) takes a smooth Connecticut-style cigar and gives it a little more bite.
Most of the cigar is dressed in Ecuadorian Connecticut Shade, while the head gets a darker section of Nicaraguan Sun Grown tobacco. That extra leaf changes the experience. Creamy cedar and toasted nuts up front. Then pepper, spice, coffee, and a little sweetness start to creep in.
Smooth, but not sleepy. Refined, but still interesting. Packed 13 cigars to a box.

The Dunbarton Sobremesa Tapa Negra Toro (6″ x 52) is built around contrast.
At first glance, it looks like a polished Connecticut cigar. Light wrapper. Clean appearance. Nothing too wild. Then you notice the darker tobacco around the head.
That is the Tapa Negra.
The main wrapper is Ecuadorian Connecticut Shade, covering a Mexican Matacapan binder and Nicaraguan filler tobaccos. Around the head, Steve Saka adds Nicaraguan Sun Grown leaf to bring more pepper, spice, and depth right where the cigar meets the palate.
The result is a smoke that moves in two directions at once.
Cream. Cedar. Toasted nuts. Coffee. A little sweetness. Then black pepper and warm spice start working their way into the finish.
The 6″ x 52 Toro format gives the blend enough room to develop without becoming oversized. Long enough to settle in. Still focused enough to let the wrapper combination do what it is supposed to do.
Smooth does not have to mean mild. That is the point here.
Packed 13 cigars to a box, the Sobremesa Tapa Negra Toro is a smart pick for Connecticut smokers who want more depth, or fuller-bodied smokers who normally pass right by lighter wrappers.
