The JFR Lunatic Habano Short Robusto (4.25″ x 52) Box of 28 is the little guy in a lineup famous for monster ring gauges. Doesn’t mean it’s lacking anything.
An Ecuadorian Habano wrapper surrounds Aganorsa-grown Nicaraguan binder and filler tobaccos. The smaller 52-ring format puts a little more attention on that wrapper, bringing a nice mix of roasted nuts, coffee, earth, pepper and toasted tobacco. At just 4.25 inches long, things happen pretty quickly. Light it. Give it a minute. The flavor is already there.

JFR Lunatic Habano Short Robusto Product Description
Calling the JFR Lunatic Habano Short Robusto the small cigar in the family is almost funny. It’s still 52 ring.
But next to the enormous cigars JFR puts in the Lunatic lineup, this 4.25″ x 52 looks downright reasonable. Maybe that’s why it works so well.
The cigar is wrapped in Ecuadorian Habano leaf with Aganorsa-grown Nicaraguan tobacco underneath for both the binder and filler. Simple setup. Good tobacco doing most of the work.
Right from the beginning, the Short Robusto has some character.
Earth and toasted tobacco come first. Then roasted nuts start creeping in, followed by coffee and a little pepper. There’s enough natural sweetness underneath to round things off without making the cigar feel soft.
And because it’s only 4.25 inches long, there isn’t much wandering around. It gets to the point.
The 52-ring gauge also gives the Habano wrapper a bigger say in the smoke than you’ll find in some of the gigantic Lunatic sizes. More concentration. A little more spice. Still plenty of thick smoke coming off the Nicaraguan filler.
This is the kind of cigar that makes sense after lunch, with morning coffee, or anytime you want something good without clearing the next two hours off the schedule.
