Back in January 2022, Cigar Aficionado named the Padron 1964 Torpedo Natural their Cigar of the Year for 2021, and they gave it a solid 97-point rating. Honestly, it’s not hard to see why—it’s just that good.

The Padron 1964 Torpedo is so top-tier that when it first came out, it was actually the first non-Cuban cigar to be counterfeited! To make sure people were getting the real deal, Padron slapped on a special double band with serial numbers, so you could always spot an authentic one.

On top of that, it’s a limited-edition release—only about 1,000 to 2,000 boxes are made each year. They go to a select group of retailers, and there’s often a waitlist for them. So yeah, this is a cigar that’s highly sought after.
