Perdomo Legacy Connecticut Gordo
The Perdomo Legacy Connecticut Gordo is a big, creamy cigar. But mild and boring? Not even close.
It starts with cedar and warm tobacco. A little honey sweetness follows, along with toasted nuts and just enough spice to keep things interesting. The smoke stays rich and creamy. Smooth too, especially for a cigar with this much flavor.
The honey-colored Ecuadorian Connecticut wrapper is aged for 10 years, then given at least eight more months inside bourbon barrels. Underneath is a Nicaraguan Shade Grown binder and Cuban-seed Nicaraguan filler tobacco from Estelí, Condega, and Jalapa. A carefully aged blend, and you can tell.
At 6″ x 60, the Gordo is made for a longer smoke. It burns slowly. Stays fairly cool. And the larger ring gauge brings out more creaminess and sweetness without washing away the cedar and spice. A medium-bodied smoke from beginning to end.
