The tobacco is grown at Finca San Julián in Condega, Nicaragua, roughly 1,300 meters above sea level. Cooler nights and the unusual elevation give this all-Nicaraguan cigar a character that feels brighter and more delicate than many traditional Nicaraguan blends.
Honey and creamy marzipan arrive early, followed by nougat, cedar and a touch of earth. Orange zest cuts through the sweeter flavors before a light ginger spice begins showing toward the finish.
At 4.875″ x 52, Celeste keeps the flavors concentrated.

Plasencia Alma del Cielo Celeste Robusto (4.875″ x 52) Cigar comes from a place where tobacco isn’t normally supposed to grow this well.
Finca San Julián sits high in the mountains of Condega. About 1,300 meters above sea level.
Up there, the nights are cooler, the growing conditions are different, and the tobacco develops at its own pace. Plasencia decided to build an entire cigar around it. Celeste is the smallest format in the Alma del Cielo collection, but don’t mistake that for the simplest.
The first few draws can be surprisingly creamy. Honey comes through. Then marzipan. A soft nougat character gives the smoke some richness without making it overly sweet. After that, things start moving.
Earth appears underneath the sweeter notes. Cedar begins to dry the profile out slightly. Then a little orange zest shows up and changes the whole direction for a few draws. That’s the interesting part of Celeste. It doesn’t sit still.
The 52 ring gauge keeps the wrapper involved and makes the flavors feel more concentrated than they do in the larger Amanecer. There is less filler tobacco spreading everything out, so the transitions tend to arrive a little quicker.
Sweetness. Wood. Citrus. Earth. Then a light ginger-like spice near the finish.
The entire blend is Nicaraguan, yet it doesn’t behave like the heavy pepper-and-earth profile many smokers automatically associate with Nicaragua.
