The JFR Lunatic Habano Hombre Libre (6″ x 54) Box of 28 is a little more traditional than some of the crazy-sized Lunatics. Still plenty of cigar, though.
An Ecuadorian Habano wrapper sits over Aganorsa-grown Nicaraguan binder and filler tobaccos. The result is earthy and rich, with flavors of roasted nuts, coffee, cedar, pepper and a little sweetness working underneath.
At 6″ x 54, the Hombre Libre gives the blend room to develop without getting into those monster 70 and 80 ring gauges.
Good smoke production. Nice balance and enough Nicaraguan character to keep things interesting all the way down.

JFR Lunatic Habano Hombre Libre Description
Not every Lunatic has to be the size of a baseball bat.
The JFR Lunatic Habano Hombre Libre comes in at 6″ x 54, which almost looks normal next to some of the monsters in the Lunatic lineup. Almost.
The cigar uses an Ecuadorian Habano wrapper over Aganorsa-grown Nicaraguan binder and filler tobaccos. A straightforward combination on paper.
In the smoke, there’s a lot more going on.
The first few draws lean earthy with some toasted tobacco and pepper. Then it starts opening up.
Roasted nuts come through. Coffee. Cedar. A little leather here and there. Underneath all of it is a mild natural sweetness that keeps the darker flavors from becoming too dry.
The 54-ring gauge works well with this blend. There’s enough filler tobacco to produce thick, creamy smoke, but not so much that the wrapper disappears. You can still pick up that Habano spice as the cigar moves along.
And unlike some of the giant Lunatic sizes, the Hombre Libre feels easy to manage. Six inches long. 54 ring. Enough cigar for a long smoke without making the rest of your day disappear.
The JFR Lunatic Habano Hombre Libre Box of 28 is a solid choice for smokers who want Aganorsa tobacco, Nicaraguan character and a little less insanity in the dimensions.
