The Tabernacle Broadleaf Doble Corona takes Foundation’s dark Broadleaf blend and gives it a long 7″ x 54 format with plenty of time to develop.
A thick Connecticut Broadleaf wrapper covers a Mexican San Andrés binder and filler tobaccos from Estelí, Jalapa and Jamastrán. Dark chocolate and espresso show early, followed by earth, leather, black pepper and a slower-building tobacco sweetness.
This is a full cigar. No question. But the larger Doble Corona format spreads everything out. The pepper has room to settle, the darker flavors get deeper, and the Broadleaf stays involved without making every draw feel overly concentrated.
If you want The Tabernacle in a long, traditional format, this is the one.

Tabernacle Broadleaf Doble Corona Description
The Tabernacle Broadleaf Doble Corona (7″ x 54) Box of 24 is not a quick cigar. And that’s a good thing. This blend deserves some time.
Foundation starts with a dark Connecticut Broadleaf wrapper, adds a Mexican San Andrés binder, then fills the cigar with tobacco grown in Estelí and Jalapa, Nicaragua, along with Jamastrán in Honduras.
There is some serious tobacco packed into this thing. The opening usually comes in dark. Black pepper. Earth. Espresso. Then cocoa starts working its way into the smoke.
The Broadleaf wrapper brings plenty of richness, but the 54 ring gauge keeps the cigar from becoming too wrapper-heavy. There is enough filler here to open the profile up and let the different growing regions contribute.
That becomes more noticeable as the cigar burns. Pepper backs off. Dark chocolate gets deeper. Coffee becomes more roasted.
Leather and wood begin showing underneath, while the natural sweetness of the Broadleaf occasionally cuts through the heavier flavors.
Nothing about the Doble Corona feels rushed. At seven inches long, there is room for the cigar to change. And it does.
The middle tends to become rounder and more balanced than the opening. Later on, earth and spice return with more weight, but by then the darker sweetness and espresso notes are already well established.
The Tabernacle is a full-strength cigar, but this size handles that strength differently than a Corona or Robusto. Broader. Slower. A little more patient. It still has muscle. It just has more room to use it.
For smokers who like Connecticut Broadleaf, dark Nicaraguan tobacco and longer traditional cigars, The Tabernacle Doble Corona is an easy blend to spend some time with.
