The Tabernacle Broadleaf Toro is a rich, full-bodied cigar from Foundation Cigar Company built around a dark Connecticut Broadleaf wrapper. Underneath is a Mexican San Andrés binder with premium long-fillers from Nicaragua and Honduras, creating a dense, flavorful smoke with plenty of depth.

Tabernacle Broadleaf Toro Description
The Tabernacle Broadleaf Toro (6″ x 52) Box of 24 may be the most balanced way to smoke this blend. Not too short. Not oversized. And enough tobacco to let everything move around.
Foundation starts with a dark Connecticut Broadleaf wrapper, then places it over a Mexican San Andrés binder and filler tobaccos from Estelí, Jalapa and Jamastrán.
The opening has weight. Black pepper and earth arrive first. Then espresso starts showing through, followed by dark cocoa and richer tobacco. The Broadleaf wrapper stays noticeable, but the 52 ring gauge gives the filler plenty of room too. That helps the Toro settle down as it burns. Pepper begins to soften. Coffee gets deeper. Chocolate becomes more noticeable. Leather and wood start moving underneath, while the natural sweetness of the wrapper comes through just enough to keep the darker flavors from becoming too dry.
The Toro format works especially well here because the blend has time to change without dragging things out. The opening has more bite. The middle becomes rounder. Then the darker tobacco and spice begin building again toward the finish.
There is strength throughout. Foundation rates The Tabernacle CT Broadleaf as full strength, and the Toro does not hide that. But strength is only part of the story. The better part is the balance between Broadleaf richness, San Andrés depth and the mix of Nicaraguan and Honduran filler.
At 6″ x 52, none of those pieces completely take over. That is why the Toro is such an easy size to come back to. Dark. Rich. Full. But still controlled.
