“Four Seasons in the Nicaraguan Valley: The Birth of Organic Reserve by NH Cigars”
In the mist-covered hills of Estelí, Nicaragua, where the earth is dark and rich with volcanic memory, a quiet revolution began in 2022—led not by marketing trends or mass production, but by NH Cigars and a vision rooted in patience, purity, and respect for tradition.
Our goal: to craft a another fully organic cigar line from Nicaragua to the addition to our original top selling line Organic House Blends—untainted by chemicals, untouched by haste, and shaped entirely by nature and human hands.
No shortcuts. No pesticides. Just purity—and innovation.
The journey began with carefully selected virgin plots that hadn’t seen synthetic fertilizers or sprays in over a decade. To avoid pesticides, NH Cigars took a bold step:
They deep-freeze the cured tobacco, a natural method used to eliminate tobacco beetle larvae and other pests without a drop of chemical intervention.
“We don’t poison what we plan to smoke,” said the NH Cigars founder Mike Johnson.
“We deep freeze the tobacco, not fumigate. It takes longer, costs more—but keeps the soul of the leaf intact.”
Only natural compost nourished the plants. Every pest was removed by hand. The leaves matured slowly, thicker and richer than any factory-grown counterpart. Once harvested, the tobacco was fermented for over a 2 years in hand-built cedar aging rooms, rotated leaf by leaf, with no artificial heat or pressure.

After fermentation, the tobacco rested again—until master rollers in Estelí shaped each cigar over the course of eight patient months. The draw, the wrapper, the balance—each detail was guided by hand and instinct.
When the final cigar was bundled up, exactly four years had passed since the first seeds had touched soil.
